Description

In this entry-level health care position, you will help CHCC’s friendly dietary team deliver food to our residents so they can receive the nutrition they need to remain strong and healthy.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare food items and deliver food carts to designated care units.
  • Perform detailed cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Assist with tray line.
  • Assist with dishwashing.
  • Prepare instant breakfast, beverages and fortified milk.

Qualifications
  • Must have or be able to obtain a food handler's permit.
  • Must be able to stand, walk and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Three to six months of general kitchen work experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in a medical facility kitchen preferred.
Skills
  • Have a positive working rapport with fellow staff members as well as patients and residents.
  • Be compassionate, have great communication skills and a pleasant, professional manner.
  • Have knowledge of kitchen equipment, including dishwasher, coffee maker, juice machine, food processor.
  • Comply with all facility policies and procedures.

Working Hours
Approximately 24 hours per week. Saturday and Sunday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, 6:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Must be available to work additional days and times as needed, scheduled monthly in advance.
