At CHCC, we believe in celebrating the exceptional contributions of our team members. Each month, the Shining Star recognition honors two individuals: one from the nursing department and one from other departments. These honorees exemplify dedication, compassion and excellence in their work, inspiring others and enhancing the quality of care we provide. CHCC is a premier skilled nursing center in Whatcom County because of their efforts.
Jill L.: Our non-nursing Shining Star for June is Jill, who has worked at CHCC since July 1999. She is usually behind the scenes working in the kitchen as a dietary aide. Jill is a calm and steadfast presence in a fast-paced, exacting environment.

Chiane W.: Our nursing Shining Star is Chiane, who has worked at CHCC as a CNA before earning her RN degree. She returned to CHCC last July and has recently taken on the role of unit manager in our rehab unit.
