At CHCC, we believe in celebrating the exceptional contributions of our team members. Each month, the Shining Star recognition honors individuals. These honorees exemplify dedication, compassion and excellence in their work, inspiring others and enhancing the quality of care we provide. CHCC is a premier skilled nursing center in Whatcom County because of their efforts.
Our non-nursing Shining Star is Robin D. She has been part of CHCC’s dietary department for 12 years! She has many skills and has taken on a variety of roles, always serving residents with a heart for care and excellence.
Her supervisor shared the following comment: “Robin is my hidden gem. Most people don’t know the scope of what she does, from new admits, discharges and room moves to daily diet changes, auditing and recordkeeping. She keeps everything running smoothly.”

Our nursing Shining Star is Katelyn D., LPN. Her coworkers describe her as “extremely dependable,” noting that “Katelyn never calls in!” and “She is calm in all situations and very nice to work with.” Another shared, “The NACs love her, and so do the residents and their families.”
