In this entry-level environmental services position, you will be responsible for the daily cleaning of resident rooms and other facility common areas. You’ll help maintain a clean and welcoming environment for people who live, work and visit CHCC.

- Receive daily direction from the environmental services director.
- Establish a routine for completing housekeeping routes, and complete routes thoroughly and on time.
- Empty trash, dust, mop, sweep and wash various equipment.
- Safely use chemicals and follow all safety precautions.
- Assist with room changes and discharges, move equipment and supplies around the healthcare center.
- Support the laundry department as needed.
- Demonstrate the proper use of personal protective equipment in isolation rooms and infectious areas.

- Previous work experience in healthcare settings is preferred.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma/GED is preferred.
- Have a positive working rapport with fellow staff members as well as patients and residents.
- Be compassionate, have great communication skills and a pleasant, professional manner.
- Able to troubleshoot and do minor problem-solving.
- Have knowledge of janitorial equipment and supplies.
- Comply with all facility policies and procedures.
