History
Christian Health Care Center was founded in 1956 by a group of Reformed and Christian Reformed church leaders. Their original vision was to provide healthcare for older adults in Lynden and throughout Whatcom County.
Today those healthcare services are provided to adults of all ages in a compassionate and loving environment, consistent with the Christian principles on which it was founded.
CHCC spent its first 45 years in a facility located at 205 S. BC Avenue.
In 2001, after a successful fundraising campaign and countless volunteer hours, CHCC moved into a newly constructed, modern building at 855 Aaron Drive in Lynden, WA.
The new building allowed CHCC to provide rehabilitation services and long-term care for up to 142 individuals.
CHCC is situated on the edge of Lynden, Washington, where residents and their families can enjoy being surrounded by manicured parks, public trails, mountain views and rural farm land.
Just minutes from the Canadian border and Bellingham, the thriving community of Lynden offers a selection of restaurants, shops, services and festivals that are appreciated by its citizens and visitors to the area. Learn more about our unique community by visiting www.lynden.org.
Active residents at CHCC are provided opportunities to travel into the community to attend events like the Northwest Washington Fair or take monthly scenic drives through the countryside.
