Charitable Giving in Whatcom County

Mission: The purpose of the CHCC Foundation is to help ensure the health care needs of our community are met. We raise funds to financially support educational training programs and the faith-based care provided at Christian Health Care Center in Lynden.

CHCC is the only nonprofit skilled nursing facility in our area dedicated to care for elderly and medical fragile individuals. We have faithfully offered health care services to countless Whatcom County families since 1956.

Guided by a local board of trustees, the foundation supports individuals and families who need skilled nursing, short-stay rehabilitation or end-of-life care.

The foundation also helps our care team continue to learn and grow; it provides training for the future workforce and funds supplies and maintenance that are not covered under our standard operating budget.

Our primary need is for financial support to ensure the long-term sustainability of CHCC. That may come in the form of a one-time donation, monthly contributions, an annual gift or a legacy bequest.

We also welcome assistance with our chaplain program, volunteers who can help in various ways and prayers for our residents and staff.

Donations of all size are welcome and appreciated. Simply click the donation button on this page, and you’ll be redirected to a secure form to complete your financial gift.

As a Washington State 501(c)(3) qualified charity, all gifts may qualify for a variety of tax deductions. We encourage you to talk with your financial advisor to learn more. You may also contact CHCC’s executive director, Tonja Myers, with any questions you may have. She can be reached at 360-354-4434.

Your gift ensures that we have essential staffing, supplies and equipment and that we can maintain a safe, healthy environment for residents. Click to see our current fundraising goals.

Every donation helps CHCC provide care with compassion and love in Christ's name.
